Our Learning programmes

Lapwing supports students to help them overcome personal barriers to their education and entry to the workplace. We spend time getting to know our students developing close relationships that help us understand what motivates each young person on an individual level.

It’s these relationships that allow us to put together the individual programmes that will help to unlock learning potential. The effect this has on our students is to increase confidence, leading to a degree of independence that may not have been imagined prior to joining Lapwing.

Some of the challenges our students face:

  • Autism
  • Behavioural and Emotional Difficulties
  • Aspergers/ASD
  • Learning disabilities
  • Mental illness
  • Debilitating / progressive illnesses
  • Pregnancy
  • Exclusion
  • Being ‘looked after’

Our outstanding educationalists use all their skills to design and deliver an astonishing range of individual programmes, realising students’ individual aspirations and goals.
