POOL COACHES AND TUTORS
VOLUNTEER FUNDRAISER

SPECULATIVE CVS

POOL COACHES & TUTORS

Our tutors and coaches provide tuition and mentoring services to meet the individual needs of each student by facilitating learning in a wide range of activities.  We are looking for additional tutors and coaches to join our reserve pool working with students on a variety of learning activities, including City & Guilds functional skills.  Our ideal candidates will have experience working with young people or an interest to develop their skills in this area.

Perhaps you’re currently in a teaching or learning support role and looking for a new challenge?  Or maybe you are working in a different sector and are looking to change direction? With the right attitude and the right people skills, you could develop your own potential while helping others to reach theirs.

For more information, please contact Sophy Jones on 01473-621762 or sjones@lapwingeducation.com for an application form.

Appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.  Lapwing is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

VOLUNTEER FUNDRAISER

This role offers unlimited opportunities. It would perhaps suit someone who is retired and wants to use their years of experience to help young people.  Or maybe it would work for someone who has taken time out from the workplace to have a family and wants to refresh their skills in voluntary position. Likewise a student wishing to learn about written and face-to-face communication would find this a very rewarding role.

Local businesses have been very supportive of Lapwing in the past, sponsoring our newsletter and donating old IT equipment. We need more of these businesses to help us and would like someone to approach them asking for support. Another part of this role is contacting local groups such as the WI and Rotary clubs, explaining the charity’s aim and encouraging them to fundraise for Lapwing. Finally there may be an event – car boot sale, coffee morning, running race, fashion show, picnic, open garden, ball etc. which could prove a fundraising opportunity for Lapwing.  Perhaps this event could be organised by the Fundraiser or by another organisation identified by the Fundraiser. Lapwing would support the event through social media and publicity. Volunteers would gain valuable experience of working for a progressive not-for-profit.

Mileage and expenses are payable for this role.  Hours of work by arrangement.

Lapwing is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people so appointment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.

For more information, please contact Sophy Jones on 01473-621762 or sjones@lapwingeducation.com for an application form.
