Prospective trustee information

Are you potentially interested in becoming a trustee of one of East Anglia’s fastest growing education charities?

Lapwing works with children and young people with additional educational needs to provide them with personalised learning or support to access education, training or employment.  Our mission is to have a positive impact on the life chances of the hardest to reach young people across East Anglia by putting each young person’s needs, interests and aspirations at the heart of the work we do to ensure that they can thrive and achieve.

Due to demand for our services, the charity has grown considerably over the last 7 years from a turnover of £300k to £3.2m with nearly 100 employees now working across Suffolk, Norfolk and North Essex.  Lapwing has a small but dedicated Board of Trustees and we are looking for more volunteer trustees to join the Board, which is responsible for the governance of the charity and for working with the CEO to shape the strategic direction as we continue to grow.

If you are interested in finding out more about the trustee role and the work the charity does then please contact Will Fletcher, Chief Executive Officer, via email: wfletcher@lapwingeducation.com or Tel: 07501 969099.
